Good Afternoon WEG Families!
As I look outside of my window, I feel peace in watching the falling snow. It is starting to feel more like winter and as such, we need to make sure we are dressed warm. The expectation is that students are outside during breaks. This means they need to have proper footwear, coats, mitts, etc to keep dry and warm. It's also a good idea to have a spare set of clothes on hand for those wet snow days. In and around our school there is lots happening. Last night, our OELP class had an overnight campout at the school. It was deemed a success but with many tired faces this morning! Special thanks to Ms. Goldie, Ms. Fredrickson and Andrew for their work in organizing this event and for chaperoning the students. I'm sure they are glad that they picked last night rather than tonight!
Staff and students are preparing for our Christmas concert which is set for Tuesday, December 16, starting promptly at 5 p.m. All are welcome to attend!
Our school is also collecting money from families to provide one family in need with a Christmas hamper this year. If you are able, please send a toonie to the school to contribute to items for the basket. This will go a long way in contributing to the happiness of at least one family this year; and you can feel good about making that happen.
Report cards will be going home today! There should be no surprises. If you have any questions about your child's report, please contact your child's teacher directly.
Enjoy the weather and stay safe!!
