Grade 7/8 Outdoor Learning

Our Grade 7/8 students enjoyed an overnight trip to Ripple Ridge in British Columbia. The experience provided an opportunity to connect with nature, build relationships, strengthen teamwork, and develop independence and outdoor skills beyond the classroom. These experiences are an important part of supporting student learning, resilience, and personal growth.

RISE: Positive Behaviour and School Culture

W.E. Graham Community School is strengthening its school-wide positive behaviour and restorative practices through the implementation of RISE. The initiative promotes Respect, Inclusion and Belonging, Safety, and Responsibility, Empowerment and Ownership, providing students with clear, consistent expectations across classrooms and common areas. Through explicit teaching, visual reminders, and recognition of positive choices, RISE aims to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive. This work supports the development of positive relationships, student accountability, and a strong sense of belonging within our school community.

Valhalla Wilderness Program

We are excited to welcome Carly Ristow as the new teacher of our Valhalla Wilderness Program. We look forward to the experience, energy, and passion she will bring to the program as she supports students in developing their outdoor skills, leadership, resilience, and environmental stewardship. We are looking forward to a positive year ahead for our Valhalla students.
